Applications to Canada, under all streams, have questions to determine admissibility. Such as "have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or order to leave Canada or any other country or territory" amongst other similar questions. There is LOTS of litigation around files that were refused, with many applicants being cited for misrepresentation, even though the typical argument would have been "I didn't understand the question" or "I didn't realize this included all countries in the world". There have been many requests to make these questions simpler and less convoluted. For some reason IRCC has never felt the need to make these questions clearer. One suspects it just acts as an easy way to refuse a file. It's very likely that IRCC has sought numerous legal opinions over the years, whether these opinions are sough internally or externally. I want to see all instances of such opinions, including any and all correspondence related to this issue, including any discussions or meetings or reports or papers or presentations. Ensure to include any and all third party requests related to this, and any response/s given. From 2020-01-01 to 2025-07-09. Remove duplicate copies of documents and emails. Mark all Cabinet Confidences as non-relevant.
